About Us

We believe that everyone has their own superpowers. For some of us, these superpowers come in the form of fidgeting or other self-stimulation. We bounce our legs, tap our fingers, rock in our chairs, and clap in excitement. We click our pens or twirl our hair, maybe even hum our favorite song.

Not only are all these things natural, but we think they’re super awesome.

Fidgeting is common for Autistic people, as well as people with ADHD, learning disabilities, and neurodevelopmental differences. It is also referred to as stimming by neurodivergent people, which stands for self-stimulatory repetitive behaviors. It can help soothe sensory issues and sensory overload. It helps occupy the idle part of your brain so that you can focus and pay attention to the things that are important to you. It can reduce anxiety by being used as a form of grounding. And fidgeting can also help with those who have BFRBs (body-focused repetitive behaviors) like trichotillomania and dermatillomania, providing an alternative way to relieve stress.

Fidget Superhero is not just about a love for fidgeting. Our mission is to promote acceptance and improve the daily lives of those who are neurodivergent, disabled, or have mental illness. We hope you’ll join our Superhero Squad and give us your feedback and suggestions for other toys and tools you’d like to see in our store.
